A common theme seen in highly urban areas is that we as a society like to build up. Because of high population density areas, land is hard to come by, hence why we have decided to build up. The townhouse is the epitome of building up, as it is one of the first examples of this.

My project, The Townhouse, is a modern take on the 18th century design of a townhouse. With a large emphasis on natural light in modern design, The Townhouse features North and South facing windows to allow natural light, but decrease the aggressive shifts in lighting throughout the day.
